Strategy
Today, whenever I feel particularly tired out, I do 10 push-ups. This is to see if lethargy is due, in part, to just being lazy and not exercising. My limbs have not felt particularly attached for the past two days.
Then again, maybe it’s just the mind-numbingly dull catalog proofreading.
My nun aunt
is fine. She leafs through books on Buddhism and says she needs a new religion. This is said partly in jest, as she’s at peace with her faith in the God of Catholicism, but she's a little less sure of his Church. She is not a Republican, though people often find this hard to believe - they just don’t meet enough blue state nuns. My aunt does not like the thought of abortion, but she says there are bigger things.

Doggies
I think that's a quote from Diana Wynne Jone's Witch Week, the part where Simon, under a not-so-evil spell, writes "Doggies" as a fake journal entry. Controversial fact: I believe that Jones' stuff is better than J.K. Rowlings', if for no other reason than it's much shorter.
Anyway, I turned 28 and Christmas happened, on the same day as it usually does. I bought my parents a DVD player and hooked it up for them. They are convinced I am a genius, even though I tried to show them that all the cables are, in fact, color coded to the correct sockets. Hey, wha

Almost finished
Christmas shopping. I went to the outdoor fair at Bryant Park yesterday in the 12 degree weather. I negelected to buy ice cream at the Ben & Jerry's stand but bought some lovely gifts for people instead. Also, I think I freezer-burned my shins.
A Recent Phone Conversation
Me (answering the school phone): TaeKwon-do school, can I help you?
My Martial Arts Master (on the other end of the line): You can't help me.
AWKWARD SILENCE.

Had a dream
that I was pregnant and had once known but had forgotten who the father was. The house had burned down, and my mother was either sewing of haggling with someone for denim skirts. Yeah, I get it, everyone dies alone, in a freakish post-apocalyptic wasteland. Weird.
Times, a-changing
Last Friday was my coworker Ross (Captain America/Canada)'s last day at the job. He is leaving us to do nothing, the lazy bum! ;-)
So, we saw him off with the traditional drink-fest and karaoke. This is not my fault.
Also, one of my roommates is getting married this Friday. She's so well organized! On Saturday, I had a small adventure in NJ trying to get to a little celebratory dinner held at Houlihan's in her honor. Rho would have been in her element, somehow dealing with all the missed trains and missing information. Luckily I was connected with her via cell phone, so I was not eaten by wild dogs in the Port Authority.
